Gillian held Moira all by herself this morning & did a very good job. They were both very happy.

Classic Beauties
Memorial weekend means the Watsonville Fly-In Airshow. The kids loved it. We had to go rather bundled, though. The weather is so chilly right now. So, we are skipping our other regular memorial weekend activity. Tomorrow morning will be the 50th annual Lumberjack breakfast. But, I think it will be too cold for baby! So, we will miss....

Los Altos
After visiting Gabriel's grave in Palo Alto, we spent a little family time in Los Altos. We walked around a little bit downtown.
We got great treats at the Satura Cakes bakery.
Their Brioche donuts are WAY too good.
"Me want another one, right now, please!"

Then we took some sandwiches from the Italian Deli over to Shoup Park for some picnic & play time. It was really hot, though. About 100 degrees... So, we didn't last too long.
Moira was pretty comfortable in the shade.

This little dress is one of my great finds from Goodwill. It is homemade. It was heartbreaking to see it at the thrift store. So, I had to buy it & give it a good home. Even though, I really didn't need anymore clothes for Moira.
We made our yearly visit to the cemetery where we buried Gabriel 4 years ago. Because of having to reign the other munchkins in & such, the visit was shorter than it has been in the past. But, still a special time for us to remember our firstborn.

Our New Lady
7:53pm
7 pounds 2 ounces
18 1/2 inches
Scott got home from Spain late afternoon on Thursday. About 12 hours later, labor started! Poor daddy went into this one with major sleep deprivation.
This weekend was a busy one for babies being born & we almost didn't get a room in the birthing center. We waited in the admittance room for 1 1/2 hours.
My mom was sick & couldn't come to the hospital. Leah met us down there, just as we were being let into a real room. Leah & Scott helped me get through the next 4 hours, until Moira was born! She is a happy, healthy baby. We are so blessed!

Home for a Day
Scott was home for a day. He took us out for breakfast at a new place in town - Cowboy Corner Cafe. We went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium for a couple of hours & had a great time. Now he is off to Spain in the morning, for 5 days. Then... HOME AGAIN.
