400th Post Giveaway!

I hope everyone is as excited as we are.

Making these little Bow Ties is so much fun.  So, in celebration of my 400th post on this blog, I will make you a bow tie like this.  IF, you win.  All you have to do is comment.  If you have something to say about Easter clothes, tell us.  But, it's okay if you don't.  And, for a second entry into the drawing, you can "follow" my blog.

The contest will end March 21st at midnight PST.  IF there are more than 100 entries, I'll award 2 people a bow tie.
Be sure to include your email address so I can contact you, or I'll have to draw another name.

That would be a bummer!

Visit Mellissa, the woman behind the tie pattern, at her blog The Fraker's Acres.  And, if you want to make your own, go to her Etsy shop to get her pattern.  Easter is about 1 month away.  But, the tie will take you less than an hour to make.

***  This is a real bow tie.  No clips.  You have to tie it.  I think it took me longer to learn how to tie it, than it took to sew it!
AND, it is not just for toddlers.  Enter for your guy up to size 10 years.

*********************************************
We have another tie thrown into the contest!  Mellissa has offered one of her own.  See below.  She's much better at making these little guys (& better at tying them) than I.  One of you will win this one in the size of your choosing.

I don't think I'll be making any clothes for my kids for Easter, but I do remember my grandma getting me and my sisters Easter dresses each year. I have a picture in my mind of a bonnet I wore at maybe age 5. Pretty funny.

I think the bow tie is too cute! Does it clip on? Or is there a strap around the shirt neck?

I'm not sure I would have a use for one of these ties, but they are adorable!! And I could always give it as a gift :)

How do you know how many posts you've done? I'm afraid to check mine...

I don't know if my boys will wear this ( I think they've grown out of the "it's fun to wear ties" stage, but I think a girly color would be cute on a girl!? I love the idea of children dressing up for Easter! I'm not sure how mine will be looking this year...

Aww, sweet. :)
I just got Gabriel a little Easter outfit & it did *not* come with a tie. (sad!) It's white, chocolate brown, and green - the sort of green that's halfway between sage & mint. So cute. :)
Did you want my email address? Cuz I know you've got it, but I'll include it anyway. For good measure. :)

Yes please! Elijah would look so handsome in a bow tie, and I don't have any sewing plans for Easter. :)

I remember always getting (or at least wanting) a new Easter dress. One year my best friend and I even got the same dress, mine was pink and hers was purple. For my girls, I just get the sundresses out of storage for the first time of the season and they seem new that way ;).
