Bella e Juno

In the last week, we saw really good movies that you all should think about seeing, too!
They have a really similar message. But, they are very different from each other. One did well in the box office, the other didn't. They are both quite "heavy", as they deal with unwanted pregnancies.
Bella is just that. Beautiful. We highly recommend this film. More people need to see it. It played in very few theaters, for a very short time. Our local blockbuster doesn't even carry it. Everyone should ask their video store to get it! But, be prepared to cry...
"BELLA is a true love story about how one day in New York City changed three people forever."
Juno won an Oscar & more awards, and was nominated for a bunch more, too. It does have some scenes & conversations that are a bit inappropriate. But, should be fine for adults. Overall, the film was very touching. The characters are excellent - they really draw you in. Apparently the writer is not pro-life. But, the film is very life honoring.

I am so excited to find Bella on Netflix. I hope we can, because we love finding movies like that!

We watched Juno about two weeks ago and loved it. I very much appreciated the message that was in the movie and how the human life was so valued. It did annoy me in the end that her baby went to a single parent home, but whatever... its just a movie and we thought it was sweet that she gave that woman such a huge gift.

We just watched Bella too and loved it. I was so glad they avoided the cliche and the guy and girl didn't end up together. It made the movie much more meaningful. Loved Juno as well. I was pregnant when we saw it and sobbed through the ending. :)

I loved Bella! Juno was cute, but Bella was moving. Nick said it was kind of depressing, but (surprisingly) I didn't think so. I agree with Kristen, it stayed away from cliches and actually made it more real that way.

we finally rented Bella. We thought it was interesting, but not sure it would be in our "loved it" category. It was a cute movie and I appreciated the overall message. Thanks for tip!
