Why is that so Much Better?

Gillian no longer likes baths. It is a heartbreak, really. She used to run & squeal with delight when she heard the water running. She would bounce up & down as we tried to undress her, eager to jump in. She would splash & play & swim. Now, I can't even get her to sit in the water. She screams, terrified of the thought.
We tried giving her a shower - maybe she would like that? It freaked her out. Not a chance.

And yet...

What makes the sprinkler so much better? Freezing cold water? Being outside? Not being told to do it?

hahaha! That is so funny. Our kids adore the sprinklers. You'd think it was Great America in the front yard.
Did she have a scare in the tub recently? Its always hard to figure out why they suddenly become afraid of things. Ethan used to love the shower, but he got soap in his eyes once and ever since... its the bath only. :)

We had sprinkler days here, too. What fun! I'm glad you got bath joy for a year, anyway. Grace cried every bath from birth to 2 1/2. After that, she only cried for shampoos until she was 5 :) Doesn't that make you feel better? You might only have 4 years to go...

I love it! Elijah will have to come over to play in the water with her. We are going to get a little wading pool once we move, so we'll see if thats different enough from a bathtub for Gillian.
