Thrifty Thursday: The Big Picture

Here's an interesting article from the New York Times. 
It ends with saying how pathetic of a penny pinching attempt it is to flatten your toilet paper roll.  Ha!  Pretty funny.  They are probably right!

    I liked this article a lot.

    It goes nicely with the book Jason and I went through called Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey. Similar ideas. I like the idea of being smarter about BIG cost effective ways of living and not just a bunch of little ways, but then blowing it when it comes to the areas that matter.

    I bet he wouldn't say flattening the toilet paper roll is "pathetic" if he had a troop of toddlers at home!

    Yeah, I'm with Brittany. Its kept Kara from pulling on ours, so I say its a toilet paper roll WIN!

    I think its kind of harsh to say something like is "pathetic" just because it didn't work for them personally. Oh well.
