Sock Toys

I first read about Sock & Glove on the Bluelines. I really wanted to get that book... Going to Macdoel, & needing projects to do, was a good enough reason to buy it.

Now, with the book in hand, I was able to make this great Sock Elephant for baby Peyton. So fun! It was way faster of a project than the knit teddy I made for Gillian.

  3. I love this! Very cute. My only issue with fabric toys is if you can't wash them, I won't buy them. Otherwise, who knows what's lurking there. :) I've only found one or two that can't be washed.
    You did a fantastic job!

  4. Wonderful! I just saw some sock animals in a little shop in the SF Ferry Building...
    they were only $60-80 each!!!
(I figure they must be rare cashmere socks with silk thread and some earth-shatteringly expensive filling.)
